This service is for families who will provide the care themselves and want practical instruction built around their loved one’s routines and abilities. If you need a paid caregiver to provide hands-on coverage, explore our separate In-Home Care service.

Initial Family Care Training

$595 one-time

Up to three hours of personalized training in the loved one’s home. Family members, friends, and other unpaid caregivers may participate at no additional per-person charge.

As-needed follow-up

Care Booster Visit

$225 per visit

One follow-up visit of up to 60 minutes for families who completed the initial training.

Review previously taught techniques
Adjust routines as needs change
Troubleshoot new non-medical challenges
No ongoing text support

The visit may end sooner when the family’s questions are resolved; the $225 fee remains the same.

Ongoing guidance

Care Support Membership

$195 per month

Ongoing access after the initial training for families who want Caretakers to remain a caregiving resource.

One in-home visit each month, up to 60 minutes
Up to one brief, non-medical text-support interaction each week
Text support during normal Caretakers business hours
Unused visits and text interactions do not roll over

A weekly interaction may include reasonable back-and-forth about one caregiving topic.

Personalized instruction

Training may include:

✓Bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care
✓Meal, hydration, positioning, and daily comfort routines
✓Mobility and transfers within Caretakers’ non-medical scope
✓Dementia communication, redirection, and household routines
✓Common non-medical equipment and changes to report to a clinician

Non-medical scope

Education and coaching—not clinical care.

Caretakers does not provide medical diagnosis, skilled nursing procedures, wound treatment, injections, medication-administration training, emergency response, or medical advice through this service. Medical concerns are directed to the appropriate licensed provider; emergencies should be directed to emergency services.
